Edit project

Use this guide to modify your project's basic information including name, description, URL, and visual identification color.

Quick edits

You can update project details in under a minute: change the Name, Description, or URL, select a new Color, then click Save Changes.

Step‑by‑step

  1. Open your Project Overview and click the Edit icon in the project header.
  2. Update any of the editable fields (see Field reference below).
  3. Click Save Changes to apply updates, or Cancel to discard changes.

Visual identification

The color you select appears as a colored dot next to your project name in lists throughout the interface, making it easy to identify projects at a glance.

Validation

Required fields

Name is required. Description and URL are optional but recommended for clarity.

  • Project names must be unique within your workspace
  • URLs should be valid web addresses (optional)

Best practices
  • Use descriptive names that clearly identify the project (e.g., "Mobile App", "Marketing Site")
  • Update descriptions when project scope changes to keep team members informed
  • Include the current URL of the associated application or website
  • Choose colors that match your branding or are easily distinguishable from other projects
Immediate changes

All changes take effect immediately and are visible to all project members. The colored dot updates instantly in project lists.

  • Changes not visible? Refresh the page to ensure you're seeing the latest updates.

After editing, you'll remain on the project overview page with your changes applied.
