If you're on the main dashboard and need to create a project quickly, click Create Project directly from there.
- Open your Projects page and click Create Project.
- Fill in the required and optional fields (see Field reference below).
- Select a color for visual identification.
- Click Create Project to save.
Field reference
| Field | Required | What it does | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | Project identifier | Used in lists and URLs. Keep it short and descriptive. |
| Description | Optional | Brief explanation of the project's purpose | Helps team members understand what the project is for. |
| URL | Optional | Website or application URL associated with this project | Useful for tracking which app/environment this project serves. |
| Color | Yes | Visual identifier for the project | Choose a color that helps distinguish this project in lists. You can change it later. |
Each project has a colored dot for quick visual identification. This color appears in project lists and helps you spot the right project at a glance.
Validation
Only Name is required to create a project. Description and URL are optional but recommended for clarity.
- Project names must be unique within your workspace
- URLs should be valid web addresses (optional)
Tips
- Use descriptive names that clearly identify the project (e.g., "Mobile App", "Marketing Site")
- Add descriptions to help new team members understand the project's purpose
- Include the URL of the associated application or website
- Choose colors that match your branding or are easily distinguishable
- Each project is completely independent with its own notifications, members, API keys, and settings
- Consider creating separate projects for different applications, environments (dev/staging/production), or campaigns
- You can always edit project details later from the project overview page
After creating a project, you'll be taken to the project overview page where you can manage API keys, display presets, and team members.
